"The Peanut Pusher of Mount Mulligan"
A Farcical Melodrama in Three Scenes
|
Things don't look so good for the sleepy town of Box Springs, Colorado. Most of its springs have dried up, and its stately luxury hotels are looking a little sad and lonely of late. Even Bella Fontaine, ever the lovely optimist, is ready to move on to greener pastures; however, the arrival of the strapping Ulysses 'Will' Williams prompts her to linger in town a little while longer. The only hitch is that Will is ever loyal to his former employer, the shady and elusive Delilah Von Mantrapp, who happens to be the new owner of the delipidated monument known as Neptune's Folly. Delilah exhibits little interest in restoring the property; in fact, she sets her sole employee (Will) off on the preposterous task of pushing a peanut up Mount Mulligan... with his nose! Luckily, Bella knows just how to turn a mole hill into a mountain, and Delilah's nefarious schemes might just turn against her. Could it be that the sleepy town of Box Springs is showing signs of perking up?
